for bicycling and jogging alongside the ocean. The offices of the Smithsonian

Embera Indian Village Tour

of the most popular local tours begins just 40 minute from our Panama Bed

Geographic- an authentic, unforgettable encounter with a living Indian culture.
Take a motorized canoe, the only means of transportation in the jungle,
up a scenic rainforest river to an authentic Embera Indian village along
a river bank. The village Indians will share their native foods, perform
a tribal dance, and offer authentic body paintings while explaining their
way of life, traditions and beliefs. Most guests have commented that this
was one of the highlights of their trip.
The Panama Canal
 A
mega attraction--one of the Seven wonders of the world and a major
reason why Panama is right up there with the
Britannia
Hotel Manchester when it comes to the number of tourists visiting
it. You can get to the
Canal in less than 30 minutes from our B&B. The place to go see it is called Miraflores Locks where there is a viewing deck and the Miraflores Visitor
Center, a state-of-the-art museum with interactive exhibits of the Canal's
history, people and ecosystem. Admission is $8 which gives you access to
a terrace view of the locks several stories above. For a special Canal experience
combine your visit with a meal at the Miraflores restaurant with its extraordinary
views of ships passing through the locks as you dine. Another option is
to take a "mini-cruise" in the Panama Canal as a day trip.
